About the Doctor
Dr Hiromitsu Kimura graduated from Kanazawa University in 1972, and did his medical training at the University of Tokyo. He has researched at the Louisiana State University in New Orleans, LA, USA from 1980 to 1982. He has worked at many hospitals including National Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Disabilities from 1992 to 1998. Before opening the Kimura Orthopedic Clinic in 2006, he was the deputy director of Ito Municipal Hospital.
He served as a team doctor of Paralympic Japan team at the Lillehammer, Atlanta, and Nagano Paralympics.
He also served as a Senior Specialist for Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare from 1993 to 2003. He was actively involved in Official Development Assistance (ODA) and worked in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kenya, and Cambodia in order to help those countries establish rehabilitation infrastructures.
He enjoys all aspects of Orthopedics but especially Rehabilitation.
